Grieg: Waltz in A minor from Lyric Pieces, Op. 12, No. 2

This Waltz, with its moderate tempo and haunting Nordic quality, springs to life when the articulations in the melody—staccatos, tenutos, accents—are made vigorously and crisply clear. Crossing the right and left hands in the major section, as suggested, is quite a comfortable and logical choice pianistically.
